Dear Ms. Hunter:

Congratulations and thank you for speaking your mind so forcefully about Republican abuses of power. You wrote that you didn't think you were a real patriot because patriots put so much on the line for their country.

Well, I think you just took a big step closer to being a real patriot. I have no doubt that these people will do everything in their power to keep you quiet and miserable; remember that their are millions of us who support you, and that we will prevail.

Dear Mr. Cherr:

Thank you for your kind words and support. I truly appreciate them. However, I do not think of myself as a real patriot. I am just speaking up for what is right. I will keep speaking up. Many agree with me; many more will do so if things deteriorate.

Republicans may try to silence me by name-calling and character attacks. Never do they debate the issues. However, the state party is impotent and can do nothing. And nationally, there is not much the administration can do but engage in similar attacks. The cat is out of the bag – too many people know that things are not right. The administration is just stalling for time and I am no real threat to them.

So have no fear and keep getting the message out. As you said, we will prevail.
