Dear Ms. Hunter,

I'm very glad to hear that you are recovering from your surgery. Hopefully you will be up and around quickly.

Your recent statement about leaving the republican party is why I'm writing. How you are feeling now, is how we've felt for the past 5 years. This administration is only damaging the US and it will cease to exist as we knew it because of them. I'm convinced of it.

Thank you so much for speaking out. You do know they will be after you now because you have spoken against them. They are in control of everything - much of the media, the CIA, the FBI, the Senate, the Congress and the Supreme Court (which proved today how bad it's getting with their "Eminent domain" ruling-how terrible!). They get away with everything- unneccesary war in Iraq, 9-11, Gannon/Guckert, election fraud, Downing Street Memos, bankruptcy bill, etc. I can only hope more people will come to the realization of how corrupt this administration is before it is too late for our country. The quote you used is one I've used since this last election, that I truly believe was bloated with fraud. Here it is:

Many are familiar with this famous quotation:

In Germany they came first for the Communists and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist. Then they came for the Jews and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me--and by that time no one was left to speak up."

Written by Martin Niemöller(1892-1984), this quotation has been used, almost to the point of kitsch. It is particularly popular in Jewish youth movements, used as a rallying cry against the guilt of the world (i.e. "the goyim") because of its silence while the Nazi's perpetrated their crimes against the Jews.

No, I'm not Jewish but a Catholic Democrat.

Thank You for your time.

Get well soon.

Read some good internet sites.

Dear Ms. Mantel:
Thank you for your kind thoughts and support. I am slowly recovering, but each day is a little better and I will be back at full strength soon.

The state party is impotent; it can do nothing but attack and name-call. The national party cannot do much either. I am not worth their efforts and have not said anything that others have not said too. The administration cannot lock us all up. They are trying to stall for time to see if things improve. I pray that they will, but fear that they will not. Failed policies at home and failed efforts abroad is what I see.

Know that there are many folks out there that share your views. And if things get worse, there will be many more. They know already that something is wrong.

That's the poem – it is as powerful now as when it was written. We need to have good people like you keep getting the message out and to vote the administration out at election time, regardless of fraud.

Best wishes,

Rachel
